Itinerary Details

Day 1 Arusha Airport

It’s time to begin your safari. Welcome to Tanzania! After we greet you and provide you with the trip briefing, we’ll take you out to help you discover why so many people think Tanzania is the best place in Africa to go on safari.

Arusha

Get to know Arusha and you’ll understand a little more about local life. It’s a fascinating city.

Accommodation Palace Hotel Arusha

When you stay at Palace Hotel Arusha, you’re in a good position to enjoy this leg of your trip.

If you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have) you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants – baobab trees all across the park, as well as elephants, lots of them. But that’s just the beginning. Of the big cats, you’ll probably see lions, and cheetahs and leopards are around, too. And it’s impossible to miss the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. Your backdrop for all of this is one of the prettiest in northern Tanzania, with a memorable mix of river woodland, open plains and rolling hills. And some vantage points to take it all in.

Accommodation Maasai Eco Boma

There’s so much for you to enjoy at Maasai Eco Boma, including the good facilities.

More time in Tarangire is always a bonus – this is the sort of park where the longer you stay, the better.

Bush Breakfast

We’ll take you out into the wilds for a wonderful breakfast in the open air. We choose the location carefully, both for its beautiful views and to make sure there are no dangerous animals around! It’s a wonderful experience.

Serengeti National Park

In the Unesco World Heritage–listed Serengeti, you’ll see big cats, very big elephants, giraffes and wildebeest herds, and classic Africa scenery that seems to go on forever.

Accommodation Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma

The safari tents at Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma have solid roofs to protect you from the elements and beneath this shelter, you’ll enjoy the canvas tents with rustic wood furnishings and wrought-iron beds. The location, between the central and western sectors of the Serengeti, is wellplaced for wonderful wildlife viewing. Relax in the restaurant.

You’ll get to know the Serengeti and its colorful cast of characters even better with another day immersed in its wild beauty.

Central Serengeti National Park

Experience classic safari scenery with acacia trees and savannah grasslands, as well as plenty of wildlife, when you visit the Central Serengeti.

Accommodation Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma

Return to Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma.

Enjoy quiet, little Karatu. Its busy main street is a window on urban life in a small provincial town, but it’s much quieter just a few blocks away from the main road. Shop, go to the bank or simply walk the streets – all are possible here.

Accommodation Africa Safari Karatu

While in Karatu you’ll be staying at Africa Safari Karatu. It’s a delightful place, looking out over the wonderfully green highlands that border the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The brick-walled rooms have loads of personality with local handicrafts and fine views. There is also a handful of simple safari tents on site, and the restaurant uses seasonal local ingredients. Even the swimming pool has views.

Ngorongoro Crater

The day that awaits you in Ngorongoro Crater will be filled with wildlife and the sheer wonder of exploring an unusual world as picturesque as any safari park in Africa

Ngorongoro Highlands

Enjoy cool temperatures, forest wildlife (including elephants, buffaloes and leopards), and fine views of craters and mountains when you visit the Ngorongoro Highlands. Much as we’d like your tour with us to last forever, sadly today marks the end of your safari. Having shared so many wonderful experiences together, it’s time to say goodbye and look back together on an amazing safari. We hope that you’ll come back to travel with us again one day.
