Day 1 Arusha - Gran Melia
This is where all of your planning becomes a reality: your safari starts now. Tanzania is such a wonderful country when it comes to wildlife and beautiful landscapes. After we greet you and answer any questions you might have, we’ll take great pleasure in taking you out and showing you what we mean. Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania and most travelers pass through at some stage. Whether you’re on your way out on safari or here for a little longer, you’ll catch a glimpse of streets filled with energy and color. A convenient Arusha city center location is just the start at Gran Melia Arusha. Some of the rooms have fabulous views of shapely Mount Meru off in the distance, while the rooms themselves are excellent. When you explore the Central Serengeti, you’re enjoying one of the best wildlife destinations in northern Tanzania. Here you’ll find the big populations of wildlife for which the Serengeti is famous. You’ll also have a good chance of seeing big cats. This area has plenty of northern Tanzania’s iconic acacia trees, as well as seemingly endless Serengeti horizons.

It’s time to visit Lake Manyara National Park. This spectacular park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, forest-dwelling elephants and wandering baboons. It’s a beautiful mix of forest, lake and the cliffs of the Rift Valley escarpment.

Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro is a special place and the first time that you descend onto the crater floor is like no other safari experience in Africa. This is a world unto itself, one where you’ll encounter the crater’s 600-strong population of hyenas, as well as critically endangered black rhinos. You’ll also find elephants with larger-than-average tusks, and more than 50 lions living in the crater. But it’s the sheer beauty of Ngorongoro that will most likely live longest in your memory. From early morning, mist rises from the crater, revealing steep, forested walls, secret waterways where hippos wallow, and a world of abundant wildlife hidden away from the rest of the world.
